Postponement of Races 1 and 2 of the Pacific Coast Paddle Series.

Postponement of Races 1 and 2 of the Pacific Coast Paddle Series.

To the Paddling Queensland Community,

The whole world is experiencing a unique situation and Queensland is not spared in the face of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

In view of the situation in this evolving environment, and in line with the recommendations of the health authorities aimed at strengthening prevention in Queensland, the precautionary principle applies to an event such as the Pacific Coast Paddle Series.

As a result, Races 1 and 2 of the Paddle Queensland Pacific Coast Paddle Series to take place on Sunday, March 22 and April 5th will be postponed to later in the year.

This decision was not taken lightly considering the races are so close, but the safety of event participants, staff and volunteers, as well as the wider community, is Paddle Queensland’s number one priority.

Paddle Queensland is constantly reviewing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and will provide an update on the Pacific Coast Paddle Series in late April.
