2015 Marathon Nationals

The 2015 Marathon National Championships were held on Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra over the Easter long weekend.

Excellent weather conditions presided over some exciting racing, with 215 paddlers participating.

A fair and technical course and portage were set and hosts PaddleNSW and Burley Griffin Canoe Club organised a well run event.

The win in the Open Men’s K1 was taken by Sasa Vujanic, 2.22 seconds ahead of Mick Leverett and 4.35 seconds ahead of Dane Sloss in third place.

Tegan Fraser won the Open Women’s K1, 5.01 seconds ahead of Marlena Ahrens.
