Kids love the outdoors and learn so many skills.

The holidays are here so get your family onto the water in a canoe.

If it’s the childs first time on the water go somewhere protected and in a controlled environment so they can test the water.  If your kids are a bit more used to paddling, try a longer day trip or even an overnight camping trip.  Adults and children will find the adventure a great tale to tell.

If you find the little ones move around a bit make sure they are sitting on the bottom of the canoe – they will have a lower center of gravity – so that will make it a bit more stable.  The other sure way to increase stability is to add an outrigger to your canoe.  The result will be stability for people to move around freely, jump out for a swim and climb back in with out that nearly falling in feeling!

If you don’t have a canoe, but want to experience the fun, looking to get a canoe, or to upgrade your existing canoe, Rosco Canoes at Kedron, Hire and sell a wide range of canoes, kayaks and accessories.  You will also find canoes for hire in some camping areas such as Logans Inlet on Wivenhoe Dam and Elanda Point on Lake Cootharaba, leading into the Upper Noosa River Everglades.
