For thirty years Queensland Canoeing has organized the annual Brisbane Valley 100 (BV100) Canoe Race. Participants begin the race at Wivenhoe Dam, camp overnight at approximately half way, and repeat this course again on the second day, a total distance of approximately 100 kilometres. The BV100 attracts paddlers of all ages and abilities from recreational paddlers to Australian representatives, and allows participants to paddle individually or in a team.
